PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
EMMO aims to establish ATLAR Innovation’s in-house capability to design and manufacture modular orbital monitoring stations, integrating specialised hardware, high-precision sensors, All-Sky cameras and proprietary software.
The project includes technical specification, production process development, assembly and testing of a functional prototype in Pampilhosa da Serra, Portugal. Solar panels, battery storage and backup power systems will support energy efficiency and operational resilience.
By internalising production, ATLAR will reduce dependence on external suppliers, strengthen quality control and prepare the solution for commercialisation in the space monitoring market.
OBJECTIVES:
- Establish in-house design and manufacturing capabilities for orbital monitoring stations.
- Produce and test a functional prototype integrating specialised hardware and proprietary software.
- Implement energy-efficient and resilient supporting infrastructure.
- Validate the production process and prepare EMMO for commercialisation.
