ATLAR Observes the Andromeda Galaxy During Inoscope Project Session

On October 9, an ATLAR team conducted an observation session to monitor objects in Earth orbit as part of the Inoscope Project. Throughout the session, multiple objects were detected in low Earth orbit (LEO) and medium Earth orbit (MEO).

Near the end of the operation, the team pointed the telescope towards the Andromeda Galaxy (M31). Andromeda is the largest galaxy in the Local Group, which also includes our own Milky Way. Like the Milky Way, it is a spiral galaxy and is located approximately 2.5 million light-years away.

The observation was carried out using equipment from the Inoscope Project, developed within the framework of the In Transit initiative and funded by the European Union.

Captured in white light with a 10-second exposure, the image reveals the Andromeda Galaxy (M31) alongside its two elliptical satellite galaxies, M32 and M110.
